ArabFinance: The Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology signed agreements with foreign entities to implement the artificial intelligence (AI) technology in three main segments, according to a September 11thstatement.

The deals were sealed with France’s TheraPanacea as well as Teklia, and the UK’s InstaDeep.

AI will be used in developing radiotherapy for cancer patients in addition to evaluating immunotherapy protocols, the statement added.

The other two deals cover natural language processing and automated information extraction that supports the Arabic language.

Earlier this month, the government announced a research and development project that aims to avoid vision loss through AI technology.
