Cairo –  The Egyptian Ministry of Electricity announced investing EGP 450 million in raising the efficiency of electricity networks of North Cairo Electricity Distribution Company.

A total of 148 power poles, 8.56 kilometres (km) of connectors, and 319 low-voltage distribution boxes were installed and 80 cells were replaced, according to a statement on Monday

The works also include operating 117 substations and extending 237.971 km of medium-voltage cables and 116.454 km of low-voltage cables.

It is worth mentioning that North Cairo Electricity Distribution Company serves about 5 million people.
