Cairo –  Egypt is expected to complete the alternative axis for Aswan High Dam bridge by the end of 2021, the Minister of Transport, Kamel El-Wazir, revealed.

The axis will connect Baranis-Aswan Road with Cairo-Aswan Western Desert Road, El-Wazir said in a statement on Sunday.

At a length of 5.4 kilometres and a width of 29 metres, the axis is being constructed at a cost of EGP 1.6 billion.
