Cairo –  Egypt’s cabinet allowed the National Authority for Tunnels (NAT) to enter into agreement with France’s RATP Dev for the management, operation, and maintenance of Egypt’s electric train project.

The light rail transit, being developed by China's AVIC international and China Railway Group (CREC) in collaboration with local companies, will connect Adly Mansour station with the New Administrative Capital, passing through the 10th of Ramadan City, according to a statement on Wednesday.

The construction works of the project have reached a completion rate of 72%.

In addition, the cabinet also approved signing an agreement with Simenes Gamesa for the establishment of a wind farm project in the Gulf of Suez with a capacity of 500 megawatts (MW).
