Cairo –  The National Project for Veal Revival's board of directors approved the allocation of EGP 138.7 million in new funding to support young farmers and breeders, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Mostafa El-Sayyad, said.

The funding will be offered to 768 young breeders, fresh graduates, and women to raise and feed 9,290 cattle as part of the presidential initiative of Haya Karima (A Decent Life) for developing rural areas, El-Sayyad added in a statement on Tuesday.

This brings the total value of funding under the National Project for Veal Revival to EGP 5.5 billion, offered to more than 34,000 beneficiaries to finance the feeding of about 372,000 cattle.
