Cairo – Mubasher: EDF Renewables announced the commissioning of 130 megawatts (MW) of solar energy capacity in Egypt, Reuters reported on Monday.

The leading renewable energy firm has approached its goal of doubling its renewable energy capacity in France and the rest of the world to a net amount of 50 GW during the period between 2015 and 2030, thanks to its latest plants.

It is noteworthy that the Egyptian government has set a medium- and long-term energy strategy to increase the country’s reliance on renewable energy sources such as wind and solar power.
