Dubai has decided to temporarily stop issuances permits for all business events as part of precautionary measures against coronavirus.

"In line with ongoing efforts to safeguard public health, the Department of Economic Development in Dubai temporarily pauses the issuance of all business events permits (conferences, exhibitions, meetings) till the end of March 2020," it said on Wednesday. Dubai has announced a number of public safety measures for different sectors in order to contain Covid-19 spread.

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Tuesday announced the confirmation of 15 new cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus in the country. 

The cases include one each from Kyrgyzstan, Serbia, Italy, the Netherlands, Australia, Germany, the US, Greece, Russia, Ukraine, Bangladesh, and two people from both Britain and Spain.

This brings the number of diagnosed cases in the country to 113.

The ministry affirmed that all the new cases are being taken care of and are responding well to treatment.
