Containers in Saudi ports up 8% in year - Mawani

The total number of containers increased during 2019 by seven million containers through 12,731 commercial ships

Riyadh –  The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) reported an 8% growth in the number of containers in ports across the Kingdom last year.

The total number of containers increased during 2019 by seven million containers through 12,731 commercial ships, according to a statement by Mawani on Monday.

Moreover, cargo handling rose to 262 million tonnes with the number of passengers reaching 1.3 million.
