Cairo –  Cairo Oil Refining Company refined more than 7.5 million tonnes of crude oil during fiscal year (FY) 2020/2021 at its Mostorod and Tanta refineries, Chairman Hesham Abdel Hamid said.

The company produced over 3.2 million tonnes of gasoline, 1.5 million tonnes of diesel, over 400,000 tonnes of jet fuel, 80,000 tonnes of butane, 3.8 million tonnes of mazut, and 700,000 tonnes of naphtha, in addition to kerosene and solvents, Abdel Hamid added in a statement on Thursday.

This came during the company's general assembly headed by the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El-Molla, for approving the business results for FY20/21.

The company's local equipment manufacturing and technical services businesses rose by 21% to EGP 172 million, while the revenues generated from the sale of secondary products reached EGP 375 million.
