Bidding for new convention centre in Bahrain

Eight companies submitted bids, with the lowest submitted by Cebarco Bahrain

Bahrain - Bidding has begun for the contract to build a new exhibition and convention centre in Sakhir worth at least BD79 million.

The Tender Board announced the development yesterday.

Eight companies submitted bids, with the lowest submitted by Cebarco Bahrain at BD79.097m.

The current highest bid is from Al Hafeera Contracting Company at over BD121m.

The tender includes the construction of the exhibition and conference centre, including civil, mechanical and electrical works, public services and external works, as well as maintenance for electromechanical devices for two years.
