Muscat: Within its ongoing efforts to ensure convenient banking experience for its customers, BankDhofar announced the new feature of it mobile banking app, which enables the customers to send money instantly across the world through Western Union.

Commenting on the new service, Ahmed Said Al Ibrahim, General Manager & Chief Corporate Services Officer at BankDhofar, noted, "This initiative is part of BankDhofar’s continuous transformation plan, which is putting digital technology and innovation at the core of its strategy to improve the experience of its customers. This move will enable BankDhofar customers to benefit from Western Union transfer feature in our mobile banking app, and send money across the world. BankDhofar has always been in a leading position to offer a range of new products and instant payment services.”

The Western Union is a global leader in cross-border, cross-currency money movement. We have added the feature of sending money instantly across the world to our Mobile Banking App through Western Union, with a competitive transaction rate of only OMR1.500 to all countries. The first 5,000 transactions will be free of charge, subject to one free transaction per customer. This addition will enrich our customers' experience," Dr Tariq Taha, DGM and Chief Digital Banking Digital & Information Officer added.
