Benefit, Bahrain’s leading company in fintech and electronic financial transactions services, announced the continued growth of transfers and payments through the BenefitPay mobile application. Transactions recorded an unprecedented BD22.5 million ($59.68 million) during the three-day holiday of Eid Al Adha.
 
BenefitPay succeeded through its variety of transfer and payment solutions in one integrated platform. It offers users a convenience through their various activities, such as shopping, payment of bills and transfers, said a statement.
 
The application recorded a significant increase in the total amount of electronic payments during the three-day holiday period of Eid Al Adha, exceeding BD20 million through Fawri+ alone, payments also exceeded BD534,000 through Fawateer and BD1.3 million through Fawateer.
 
BenefitPay users are on a rise and that is a testament to the commitment of the public to abide by the precautionary measures that are in place to limit the spread of the Coronavirus by using electronic payment methods rather than traditional physical cash, it said.
