Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) remains committed to achieve its production target of more than 1.54 million metric tonnes in 2020 despite the global headwinds, volatile LME price and weak economic sentiment across the markets, the company said.

The company is also committed to ensure the safety of its employees and contractors and continue to be a lean aluminium producer by building on the legacy of its cost-improvement Project Titan Programme, it said.

Alba’s Chief Executive Officer Ali Al Baqali emphasised: “Alba can only control what is intrinsic to its operations -- safety, production and cost. In light of the current circumstances, we have activated our response strategy to ensure the Safety of our people and continuity of our operations.

"We have been proactive in adopting many safety initiatives across all departments following the guidelines of the Government of Bahrain and respected health organisations. We also remain focused, through our resilient capabilities, to ensure continuous and sustainable supply of our raw materials to run our operations smoothly, all the while delivering our products to clientele across the globe,” said Al Baqali. - TradeArabia News Service
