Leading UAE developer Aldar Properties has announced that both Yas Acres Mosque and World Trade Centre Abu Dhabi Mosque will welcome their first worshippers during Ramadan.

Yas Acres Mosque will open for Friday prayers on April 16, while the World Trade Centre Abu Dhabi Mosque will open on April 30.

Located on the main avenue of Yas Acres, the new 3,300 sq m mosque will serve residents of the development, as well as the surrounding communities.

Designed with a modern and functional style, Yas Acres Mosque will have capacity to welcome 2,450 worshippers, with separate facilities created for men and women. The mosque will also feature a library and a classroom for teaching of the Quran.

Built over an area of more than 1,950 sq m, the World Trade Centre Abu Dhabi Mosque will have capacity to welcome more than 900 worshippers.

It is located on the World Trade Centre Abu Dhabi site and will welcome both male and female worshippers to a facility designed on three floors.

In line with Aldars commitment to creating places of worship within its integrated communities, the company will also open Reem Central Park Mosque towards the end of 2021, with capacity for 2,000 worshippers.

As with each of the existing mosques built by Aldar, Yas Acres Mosque, World Trade Centre Abu Dhabi Mosque and Reem Central Park Mosque will be Pearl 2 rated the second highest sustainability rating as part of the Abu Dhabis Estidama Pearl Rating System.
