The three-day event is being held under the patronage of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

Organised by Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, SCCI, and Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, in collaboration with the SCCIs Real Estate Sector Working Group, the opening ceremony was attended by Abdullah Al Owais, Chairman of the SCCI, and Saeed Ghanaim Al Suwaidi, Head of the SCCIs Real Estate Sector Group.

Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan Al Qasimi, accompanied by several officials, toured the exhibition areas and met many exhibitors who presented brief reports on their existing and future projects.

This year, Acres Middle East attracted 45 local, regional and international exhibitors, representing a spectrum of the real estate business, including real estate development, investment and related services. International participants seek to benefit from the facilities, incentives and investor-friendly regulations in Sharjah, in addition to the Emirates strategic location as a business hub and an attractive investment destination, according to organisers.

Al Owais said that SCCI strives to advance the real estate industry through organising the event, which sheds light on urban development in the Emirate and promotes available investment opportunities.

He stressed the importance of the event as a business-to-business networking platform for real estate professionals, giving them the chance to exchange industry knowledge and form business partnerships with each other.

Al Owais hailed the significance of Acres 2017 in highlighting the facilities and regulations that support real estate investment in the Emirate of Sharjah, through seminars, workshops and panel discussions hosted by relevant department directors in Sharjah and sector leaders in the Emirate.

Al Suwaidi expected the exhibition to be a resounding success, in line with the growth of Sharjahs real estate sector and along with a remarkable demand from investors and end-users, particularly with the available financing facilities and options.

Al Suwaidi added that the Acres Middle East has become a highly-anticipated event for the business and real estate community. He commended the outstanding efforts made by SCCI in presenting the investment opportunities in local, regional and international platforms. He also praised the dedicated and co-ordinated efforts by real estate stakeholders in Sharjah to ensure the events success.

Khaled Mohammed, Director of Acres 2017, said that the exhibition is an excellent opportunity for exhibitors to promote existing projects and reveal those in the future as well as for financiers to offer their plans and solutions to potential buyers.
