UAE – Mubasher: The Industrial Development Bureau (IDB) of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) is implementing a project which encourages Abu Dhabi’s industrial facilities to install “Hassantuk”, a smart monitoring alert and control system, to ensure their safety.

In partnership with General Directorate of Civil Defense Abu Dhabi and Injazat Data Systems, the project aims to enhance the response of industrial facilities to emergencies, ensure fire safety, and reduce high-risk incidents.

Though the project, the IDB has met with 62 local insurance companies to encourage them submit competitive offers to the industrial facilities to install Hassantuk, which monitors the efficiency of internal alarm systems and reports any fire indicators.

Director of IDB's occupational health and safety department, Nabil Al Awlaqi, said that IDB has also organised workshops and surveys to 677 industrial facilities of which 400 have installed the fire safety technology.
