ABU DHABI- Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge, ADEK, has urged UAE-based technology innovators to sign up for YouthTech Competition 2020, the summer’s hackathon for entrepreneurial start-ups, before the application deadline closes on 8th August.

Open to applicants aged 18-29 years old, the YouthTech Competition 2020, run in partnership with accelerator StartAD and part of the Abu Dhabi Inspires initiative, aims to empower and develop homegrown tech-enabled solutions to address pertinent global challenges under the themes of Education, Economy, Infrastructure, and Society.

With a cash prize of up to AED8,000 on offer to the YouthTech Competition 2020 winner, ADEK has been inundated with entries for the two-day virtual mentorship and training bootcamp, which is designed to equip innovative applicants with skills and business know-how to grow their start-up from concept to reality.

Applications for YouthTech Competition 2020 close on 8 August, with successful applicants participating in the hackathon boot camp 17th-18th August.
