Kuwait is planning to issue seven tenders for services at its main oil refineries and petrol pumps, a newspaper said on Sunday.

The Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), which manages the Gulf state's domestic downstream industry, will issue the tenders before the end of the 2020-2021 fiscal year on March 31, the Arabic language daily Alanba said.

"KNPC has sent the seven tenders to the Central Agency for Public Tenders, which approved them all," the paper said, quoting KNPC sources.

It said the first tender involves quality control services at the country's oil refineries and that it could be issued within the next two weeks along with other tenders.

The remaining tenders cover transport services for Mina Al-Ahmadi and Mina Abdullah refineries, marketing centre services at KNPC's new petrol stations and administrative services for KNPC buildings at the two refineries, the report added.
