The Children's Museum celebrated Jordan's 62nd Independence Day anniversary with the "Hooray for Jordan" festival enjoyed by the children and families of Jordan.

The festivities started at 10 am with fun and interactive programs and activities such as a "Know your country" competition, lead by Rana Sultan; the popular Jordanian figure, as well as sports and arts activities. The Museum had a cheerful atmosphere with face painting and exciting surprises, and the day ended with a car parade in coordination with the Royal Automobile Museum which both children and parents loved and enjoyed.

"Today was a great day at the Children's Museum; it was full of fun and excitement while children learned about Independence Day through interactive play" Said Nissreen Haram, Director of the Museum. "Today's program is yet another stepping stone in reaching our goal of having children experience learning through play" she added. Mrs Haram also commented, "I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the National Resources Investment and Development Corporation (Mawared) for helping make this festival the success that it was."

The Children's Museum of Jordan is a not-for-profit organization located at Al Hussein Park.  The children's institution is dedicated to creating interactive learning experiences that have the power to encourage and nurture lifelong learning for children and their families. The Museum has over 150 exhibits within its three themes: humankind, technology and the natural world.
