UNITED ARAB EMIRATES - Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) is pleased to announce three key leadership appointments as the company's Middle East operations expand to serve Northern Africa.

Slav Marjanovic has been appointed operations director for PB's Middle East and northern Africa (MENA) region. Based in the United Arab Emirates, Marjanovic is responsible for the company's business performance in the region, as well as for strengthening the company's operations in key growth markets--Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Libya, in particular. Marjanovic has a 20+ year career, including 15 years with PB, serving first in financial management roles for PB in Australia, and since 2007 as finance director for PB's Middle East operations.

Steve Lankester has been appointed director of the Rail, Transit & Aviation practice throughout the region. The move recognises the firm's continued strong commitment to its clients in the public transport sector, and to expanding to bring the firm's global aviation capabilities to airport owners and developers. Lankester is a chartered civil engineer with 23 years' experience in the Middle East, United Kingdom and Asia. His projects encompass a wide range of infrastructure, including high speed rail and metro, tunnelling, viaduct and bridge structures, marine structures and other multidisciplinary projects.

Rob Higgo has been named director of PB's Power practice for the region.  In this position, Higgo is responsible for PB's activities related to power generation, power networks, energy and utility consulting, as well as in the region's water and environment sectors. Higgo, a registered professional certificated engineer, has been with PB since 2008 and is based in the United Arab Emirates.  He has a 25-year career focused on bringing essential power and utilities infrastructure to communities around the world.  This has included technical management of some of the world's largest thermal power plants as well as leadership of large technical and support teams in project and office environments.
