American Creativity Academy students will benefit from the latest productivity suites technology.
Kuwait, October 26, 2010 - In its on-going long term commitment to education quality and to the students of Kuwait, Microsoft Kuwait has signed an agreement with the Educational Holding Group (edu) to provide a special offer for the students of the American Creativity Academy on Microsoft® Office 2010 Professional Plus. This edition is regarded as the latest technology in the productivity suites domain, and is expected to transform the way the technology is used in the classroom today.
Today Microsoft® Office is used by 93 % of education institutions around the world, helping teachers reach, motivate, and ensure the success of every student. Competency in using Microsoft technology is critical for students as they transition to university and necessary for their entry into the workforce.
Earlier this year Microsoft released "Education Add-ins" specially designed to empower educators to engage students, as a result, educators are able to jump in and immediately create multimedia lessons, interactive quizzes and assignments, and eye-opening math visualizations--all with little training or support.
Founded in 1982 by a group of academicians, Educational Holding Group (edu) was the first private educational investments organization in Kuwait. The group has grown manifold with a portfolio that covers the entire educational life-cycle, ranging from K-12, tertiary education and vocational training and development. Its American Creative Academy is one of the most best educational establishments in Kuwait, which delivers a standards-based American curriculum within an environment set up in a highly advanced modern campus.
At the press conference organized this morning to announce the agreement, Ehab Mostafa, Country Manager, Microsoft Kuwait said, "Microsoft believes that education is the single most important investment in the future of individuals, communities, nations, and the world. Today's announcement builds on our commitment to collaborating with academic institutions and private sector organizations in Kuwait to contribute to socio-economic development and accelerate the evolution of a knowledge-based society. We support Holding Group's efforts to increase access to quality education and improved learning methods for their students and look forward to extending this partnership with other educational institutions in the country."
Dr. Bader Al Zaid Al Traiji, CEO, Educational Holding Group said, "The group has always stressed on the highest quality control in all its education systems so that our students receive the best education and skills they need to make development sustainable. To achieve this requirement, the group's investments align their educational content and structure to match the new demands of the global market, knowledge economy and information technology. This new agreement with Microsoft for the students of our American Creative Academy is a step in this direction."
