Muscat, Oman, 17 April 2013--Over 200 local and global oil and gas companies are participating in OGWA 2014, the 9th Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemicals Exhibition and Conference from March 31 to April 2, 2014 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.

UFI-approved OGWA, established and recognized as one of the biggest oil and gas events in the region, will once again be an event of global significance, capitalizing on the ever-growing requirement for oil that has fuelled the need for increased large-scale exploration and expansion projects and new investments into Oman's petroleum resources.

"OGWA offers a ready platform to present products and services that are relevant to the ongoing projects in Oman that will help meet current local demand. As early as now, we are already achieving a 25% growth in the number of new participating companies, apart from achieving 50% booked exhibition space from our valuable previous exhibitors," remarks OGWA project manager Ebrahim Taher.

"This year, we have already received the same steadfast support of Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) and Oman Society of Petroleum Engineers (OPAL) and sponsorship support from Gulf Energy to ensure another highly successful and beneficial event for the global trade," he adds.

Gulf Energy specialises in providing innovative, integrated oil and gas field service solutions. It is the leading offshore and onshore oilfield service company in the Middle East and Africa with its headquarters in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.

Hilal Hamad Al Busaidy, CEO of Gulf Energy, says "We envisage a great future for Gulf Energy in OGWA 2014 participation as a VIP Sponsor that provides an increasingly optimistic outlook."

CCO of Gulf Energy Yasser Said Al Barami adds that with its innovative service line of business, they are able to act as one, single, integrated, service solution provider to strengthen its presence and demonstrate its commitment to the MEA region.

OGWA 2014 will gather the largest group of oil and gas companies from the GCC region, international oil and gas majors, technology and service providers, and other local and international companies that have a stake in the development of the oil and gas sector. It will present a diverse showcase of products, services, equipment and technology beneficial to oil and gas operations.

As equal importance is continuously being placed on enhanced oil recovery (EOR), Omanexpo renews its alliance with the reputable Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the largest individual-member organization serving managers, engineers, scientists and other professionals worldwide in the upstream segment of the oil and gas industry, to once again organize the high-profile SPE EOR Conference.
