Dubai, UAE, 21 November, 2010 - Lynn Gervais has recently been appointed as director of public relations for The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), announced Vivienne Gan, regional director of public relations, Middle East. In her new role, Lynn will oversee the hotel's media relations activities, website, social media, content for all printed collateral, e-marketing efforts, community programs, advertising and corporate brand messaging.
Ms Gervais most recently served in the same capacity at The Fairmont Chateau Whistler where she successfully managed the media relations department for the hotel, particularly during the recent 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Prior to that, she worked in a regional role overseeing the public relations functions of five Fairmont properties in Vancouver. Ms Gervais began her public relations career in the Canadian Rockies where she represented one of Canada's most iconic hotels before moving to British Columbia.
A Canadian national, Ms Gervais holds a Business Management Diploma from Grant MacEwan College. She is an avid yoga enthusiast and loves all adrenalin sports from snowboarding to skydiving.
