Kuwait Finance House (KFH) announced that it has launched competitive travelling insurance offers for its clients as part of 'Takaful Baitok' program; especially that the holidays and travelling season is approaching.
Banking Cards Department Deputy Manager Salem Al-Dowaisan said that the rates for the travel insurance begin at KD 9, and that the insurance is Shariah compliant. He added that the insurance coverage covers up to USD 1 million anywhere in the world and at any time. He went on to say that the insurance can be issued immediately and for multiple flights; thus making it one of the best and cheapest travel insurance programs in the region. He mentioned that KFH clients can also take advantage of the family protection program with monthly installments that start from KD 3, where clients select the category they wish to join, which are KD 3-7 per month per person, or KD 5-12 per month per family.
Moreover, he explained that the family protection insurance offers families to pay any medical treatment bills if an accident occurs up to KD 2,500 per request and per family member, in addition to paying KD 25,000 in case of an accident that causes permanent full paralyses or death.
He mentioned that Takaful insurance market in Kuwait and the region witnesses significant growth; especially that having travelling insurance has become a condition to be granted visas to travel to many places, such as Europe. He expected KFH's sales in that field to increase during the coming period, since travelling season is approaching, not to mention the holy month of Ramadan, where Muslims will be travelling to Saudi Arabia for Umrah.
