Muscat, Oman, 21 December 2009 - The seventh edition of Interiors & Buildex will kick off at the Oman International Exhibition Centre on March 15-17 next year and will once again strengthen its reputation as the biggest event in Oman for the building and construction industry with the participation of a growing number of local and international companies.
Organised by Omanexpo LLC, Interiors & Buildex 2010 comes at a time when various multimillion-dollar development projects are being implemented in many parts of the sultanate, thus continuously increasing the demand for all types of building materials, construction equipment and interior furnishings.
Recognising the attractive opportunities in the industry, a large number of companies from within Oman and from other countries worldwide have already confirmed their participation at Interiors & Buildex 2010. With its ability to consistently attract the largest number of industry professionals, the three-day event is seen by exhibitors as the ideal platform for launching new products, expanding their client base, meeting potential business partners, as well as boosting their presence in Oman's vibrant building and construction industry.
"Over the years, Interiors & Buildex has fully developed its preeminent status as a professional trade event that delivers results to our exhibitors while providing industry professionals with all the requirements they need in their projects," said Nasser Diab, general manager of Omanexpo LLC, the leading organiser of trade shows in the sultanate.
Diab pointed out that Interiors & Buildex 2010 will prominently showcase a wide range of cement and concrete products, air-conditioning equipment, paint products, bathroom fittings, various types of marble products, doors and windows, home and office furnishings, electrical products, lighting fixtures, and hundreds of other products. For the first time since the launching of the event in 2003, Interiors & Buildex 2010 will also have a special section for new product launches as well as a bigger area for all types of heavy equipment.
With still three months to go before the exhibition, a large number of firms that directly serve the industry have already signed up for Interiors & Buildex 2010. These include leading local companies such as Windows 2000, the Al Sulaimi Group, Kehlan Trading & Contracting LLC, OMASCO, Business & Trade, Dosteen Doors & Eng'g Services, Enshaat Building Material Mfg. LLC, Sadolin Paints (Oman) Ltd., Darwish AST Services LLC, and the National Plastic Factory.
International companies from many countries including Turkey, Italy, Lebanon, Germany, the UK and the UAE will also be on hand at Interiors & Buildex 2010 to introduce a wide range of new products to the local market. Among the first international companies to book their stand was Alomi Real Wood Floors, which had a very successful participation in the previous edition of the event.
"I do nearly 20 shows a year. Interiors & Buildex 2009 was the busiest, best organized and most successful," said Albert Douglas, CEO of Alomi Real Wood Floors. "I never stopped for the entire three days from early morning to late at night. People were upbeat, positive and actually placed orders on the stand."
Interiors & Buildex 2010 is officially supported by the Oman Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OCCI). For the third straight year, the event is also being supported by Windows 2000 as the platinum sponsor, with Darwish AST Services LLC, V-Kool Oman and iQue as the silver sponsors.
