Dubai, UAE - In a chaotic, uncertain and fast-changing world, today sees over 70 educationalists come together for a Leadership Conference focusing on overcoming the challenge of change.

Jumeira Baccalaureate School, part of Taaleem is hosting the 2013 Global Leadership Conference here in Dubai where leaders in schools from around the world are learning to cope with the challenges that they face every day in their schools to deliver a high standard of teaching and learning.

Mr. Andrew Homden, Principal at Jumeira Baccalaureate School, said: "I am delighted to be hosting such a prestigious event.  Jumeira Baccalaureate School in the heart of Jumeira is a truly international school, locally focused but globally connected.

"Bringing like-minded leaders together from across the globe can only strengthen expertise and leadership within education.

"We are educating students today for jobs that do not exist and to use technologies that haven't yet been invented to solve problems that we cannot comprehend. We therefore need to be the best school leaders."

In 2007, Fieldwork Education held their most successful leadership conference; using the principles of Jim Collins' bestselling work to help schools make the journey from Good to Great.

Today's conference has been developed using the key leadership messages and ideas from 'Great by Choice' by Jim Collins.  Jim Collins' latest ground breaking piece of work is based on nine years of extensive research examining not only performance, but places this in to context of the variety of unstable environments faced by leaders today.

Giving leaders a range of innovative ideas and tools to build great schools that deliver great learning is essential to the success of education across the world.

About Fieldwork Education
Providing Professional Development support and hands-on, face-to-face mentoring, guidance and expert advice for teachers and leaders has been at the heart of Fieldwork Education for over 25 years.

From its earliest days, Fieldwork Education has recognised that learning is what schools are all about and that everything else in school should be judged on how well it contributes to children's and students' learning. Improving learning has been the mission statement of Fieldwork Education from the very beginning and it is the defining characteristic of all of the Professional Development work that is carried out.

For 25 years, the Fieldwork Education Professional Development team has focused on two crucial aspects of school life: implementing curriculum and improving learning which, over more recent years, it has provided in conjunction with the IPC, the IMYC and Looking for Learning, and individually to school leaders and potential leaders through the ILMP.

Every one of the IPC PD trainers and associate trainers has experience of working with hundreds of teachers around the world each year
