Project summary:
The Galleries at Downtown Jebel Ali is Limitless' first walkable, mixed-use project with commercial, retail and residential space. The eight-building complex comprises four A-grade office towers (G+14), each with a podium garden, four further mixed-use towers and a 215,000 sq ft landscaped outdoor plaza. The Galleries has 2,500 parking spaces; onsite Facilities Management and Tenant Relations teams. Located on Sheikh Zayed Road, between Jebel Ali Free Zone and Techno Park; close to Dubai World Central Airport, The Galleries is one hour from Abu Dhabi and can be directly accessed via SZR exit 20 or the Dubai Metro (Jebel Ali Station).
Key activity at The Galleries in Q2 2012:
- International banks accounted for almost half of the occupied retail space at The Galleries. Five global banks are currently based at The Galleries, covering 12,000 sq ft between them. More bank leasing deals are under negotiation.
- Limitless announced that chiller water consumption was down by 33 per cent, a saving of 11 million litres, in the first five months of 2012 compared to the same period in 2011, as part of a new recycling, waste management and sustainability drive at The Galleries
- Demand for office space continued to rise, with new tenants Crane Middle East and Africa taking 7,000 sq ft
- A new link opened between The Galleries and Jafza South, allowing easier movement between the two developments, and opening up more business opportunities for the retailers at The Galleries
