Dubai, UAE, Tuesday 28 May 2013: Expanding its retail presence for the benefit of its customers, du has opened its third du Shop in Al Ain, located on the ground floor in Bawadi Mall in Al Ain. du's other two retail outlets are in Al Ain Mall and at Al Ain Municipality.
The newly-opened 1,330sq ft. du Shop offers customers a full range of du's Consumer Mobile products, with 10 service counters and a Bill Payment machine.
"It is our intention to reach out to our customers wherever they are located. By opening our new du Shop in Bawadi Mall, we are giving our customers in the emirate easier access to our services," said Maher Murad, Vice President Retail Sales in du.
Speaking on the launch, Ahmed Alshehi, owner and franchisee of the new Shop, said, "There is a demand for du products and services in Al Ain, and expanding its retail presence there will provide customers with an even easier location to enjoy the company's services."
With the opening of the du Shop at Bawadi Mall, du has further expanded its footprint of shops under the franchised model. As part of the franchise project, du gives support to its selected franchisees by providing them with training and marketing collateral, as well as suggesting suitable locations to set up their retail outlets. The company's support plan aims to assist local entrepreneurs in establishing their businesses, while also ensuring du customer relations are maintained at the highest standards.
du started this model in 2010 by awarding its first franchise license to an UAE-based company AST Telecomm LLC, owned by two Emirati entrepreneurs and brothers, Ali Sulaiman Al-Taher and Shahin Sulaiman Al-Taher. This was the very first achievement of du's partnership with the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Programme for Young Business Leaders - part of Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for SME Development (MBRE).
