27th July, 2009: Behbhehani Brothers, the authorized dealers of Dodge in the kingdom of Bahrain congratulated Mr. Tilo Tautenhahn as they announced the arrival of the first Special Edition Dodge Challenger SRT-8 in the Middle East and Bahrain.

The first of official Special Edition to arrive in the Kingdom, a Hemi-Orange Challenger SRT-8 was delivered to Mr. Tilo Tautenhahn on 26th July 2009.

The arrival of the Challenger SRT-8 brings with it ground breaking performance, unmistakable design hues and the reminiscent original feel and world-class handling of the Challenger.

Inspired by the 1970s original, this retro coupe takes athletic responses and sports-car braking and adds them to the good looks and tire-shredding power of the original.

The 2009 Dodge Challenger is truly a muscle car for the 21st century, with the power and technology to back it up.

While staying true to the original Challenger formula, Dodge and SRT have added a six-speed manual transmission, a limited-slip differential, new colors, and a new look for the hood stripes.

The SRT-8 builds on the excitement and return of the Challenger. With 6.1 liters of HEMI V-8, the Dodge delivers to the tune of 425 horsepower at 6,000rpm and 420 pounds-feet of torque at 4,800rpm with its five-speed automatic Auto Stick.

Standard on the Dodge Challenger SRT8 is a 13-speaker Kicker High Performance audio system that features a 322-watt amplifier and 200-watt subwoofer with the option of a MyGIG infotainment system.

Developed by Chrysler's in-house performance engineering organization, Street and Racing Technology, the 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 was engineered with a focus on the five pillars of every SRT vehicle: bold exterior design that resonates with the brand image, a race-inspired interior, world-class ride and handling across a dynamic range, a standout power-train and benchmark braking.
