Dr Jack Kornberg, FACS to head the DNA Center for Integrative Medicine & Wellness on Abu Dhabi's Saadiyat Island - opens May
17 April 2013. Abu Dhabi, UAE: A successful US-board certified surgeon with a career spanning three decades, Dr Jack Kornberg, FACS has arrived in Abu Dhabi this week to take up the helm as Medical Director of the DNA Center for Integrative Medicine & Wellness on Saadiyat Island, opening this May.
A renowned and passionate advocate of the benefits of integrative, functional and lifestyle medicine in the treatment of chronic disease and healthy aging, this is the first time Dr Kornberg has practiced outside the United States.

Following medical school, a four-year surgical residency in California and a two-year stint in the US Navy as a surgeon, Dr Kornberg opened his own practice in Puyallup, Washington. It was there that he first began to question the necessity for the multiple surgeries being recommended for patients that were referred to him.
Believing there had to be an alternative method of treating chronic illness, Dr Kornberg attended the Applying Functional Medicine to Clinical Practice (AFMCP) course at Washington's Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), and following completion began to incorporate functional medicine principles into his surgical practice. From his many years of experience, he was able to bring a unique perspective to this new approach to wellness, and incorporate a more holistic approach to his patient's care.
