Alaquil: We Need a Charter for CSR

Jeddah :10 Apr 2013- Construction Products Holding Company (CPC) extended its sponsorship for the 3rd year to the Saudi Corporate Social Responsibility Forum. The forum was held under the patronage of H.R.H. Prince Khaled Al Faysal, Governor of Makkah Region and organized by the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industrial (JCCI) and Al-Iktissad Wal Aamal Group. The Forum discussed a wide range of CSR issues with the participation of a number of government and private companies; this 3rd forum was held at Park Hyatt Hotel in Jeddah on 9-10 April 2013.

CPC'S industrial sponsorship of the event was part of the company's commitment to upholding and promoting corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Dr. Faysal Alaquil, Director of Business Development & Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at CPC stated: " CSR is a total commitment to enhance the conditions of our community, thus we consider our participation in this forum for the third consecutive year as another opportunity to further enhance our CSR program ".

He further addressed a key note titled "The enforcement of the Cooperation Triangle in CSR" during the first day of the forum.

"Without a presence of a CSR charter, strategic CSR programs will not achieve its sustainable development goals."  Alaquil pointed out.
