Moutte to leverage his global hotel management acumen to augment Courtyard's patronage base

Kuwait City, 01 October 2009: The Courtyard by Marriott, Kuwait City and Arraya Ballroom - two of three renowned properties from the Marriott Group of Hotels banner in Kuwait - has recently welcomed aboard Mr. Gerald Moutte in the capacity of General Manager. Amongst other priorities which include steering the Courtyard by Marriott and Arraya Ballroom on the path of continued sustainable profitability, Mr. Moutte will contribute significantly towards augmenting the Hotel's patronage base through his global hotel management experience.

Mr. Moutte joins Courtyard by Marriott Kuwait City from the Renaissance Sharm El Sheikh, of which he was the General Manager. Hitherto, he was associated with the JW Marriott Cairo as the Director of Food and Beverage. In a career spanning over three decades, Mr. Moutte has lent his expertise to multinational hotel chains including Intercontinental, Sheraton and Hilton across a geographic cross-section comprising Seoul, USA, Egypt, UAE and France. He also has to his credit the requisite insights for efficiently managing large-scale leisure properties, given that he was part of the launch project for Disneyland, Paris.

"The art of hospitality has become increasingly challenging today due to the fastidious preferences of discerning customers", says Gerald Moutte. "A fine balance between keeping a tab on customers' needs, maintaining sustainable profitability and continually enhancing the levels of quality service are key to claim the coveted position of an industry leader. This is a glimpse of the various goals that I've set to achieve for the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, Kuwait City & Arraya Ballroom."

With a plethora of awards to his merit - including the Marriot's 2007 GM of the Year for UKIMEA (UK, Ireland, Middle East and Africa) and the Renaissance International's 2007 GM of the Year - Mr. Moutte is poised to further leverage the Courtyard by Marriot Kuwait City & Arraya Ballroom's reputation as the authority in fine hospitality and an employer of choice. That he hails from France - the cradle of finesse in lifestyle and culinary pursuits - and that he holds a Hotel Management degree from France, only renders him as the best equipped for the challenge.
