Majid Bin Mohammed attends AEEDC Dubai Night

Dubai - United Arab Emirates, 6^th of February 2014

His Highness Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority attended yesterday AEEDC Dubai Night to celebrate the 18^th anniversary of AEEDC Dubai Conference and Exhibition. His Highness was accompanied by dignitaries and more than 1500 international professionals in the dentistry field from more than 130 countries.

On the sidelines of the Dubai Night event, His Highness Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed presented the "AEEDC International Personality of the Year Award" to Dr. Jack Dillenberg Dean of Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health in recognition of his great achievements in the Dentistry field.

Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Executive Chairman of AEEDC Dubai and The Global Scientific Dental Alliance said: "In 2011, we have launched the "AEEDC International Personality of the Year Award" in recognition for those who contributed highly to the dentistry field and are credited for the development of this industry. And in no time it has become one of the major events for all dental professionals."

His Highness Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed also received a token of appreciation from the executive director of the Greater New York Dental Meeting as a congratulation for Dubai on winning the bid of hosting Expo 2020.

From his side Dr. Al Madani added: "I would like to extend my gratitude for His Highness Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority for generously attending the Dubai AEEDC Night".

AEEDC Dubai 2014 concluded today after three days of business, scientific and entertainment activities held at the Dubai International Convention and exhibition Centre. More than 30000 visitors and participants attended the event with a general consensus that AEEDC this year exceeded all expectations and witnessed a great success.

"With each surpassing year AEEDC Dubai embraces new prestigious international collaborations with the world's most prominent organisations and associations who express their enthusiasm to cooperate with AEEDC Dubai which, in turn, gives them maximum exposure in the MENASA region." Added Dr. Al Madani

Moreover, the GCC Preventive Dentistry Meeting was held today presided by 11 representatives from the GCC Health Ministries who gathered to discuss updates of dental diseases in all GCC countries. The GCC health representatives discussed prevention programs and the outcome of their meetings at AEEDC Dubai this year; in addition, they also discussed the vital role of AEEDC Dubai meeting especially in supporting these preventive scientific activities in all GCC.

A ceremony was held in conclusion of AEEDC Dubai for the distribution of the following awards: AEEDC Young Researcher Award which went to Mr. Amir Rmaile, Best Clinical Photo Award for Mr. Tariq Saipur Rehman, Excellence in Clinical Product Award for Dentsply, Best AEEDC Dubai Booth Design Award for SIRONA, and Best AEEDC Dubai Booth Activities Award for COLGATE.

Dr. Al Madani Concluded: "Today, AEEDC Dubai is not an average dental meeting. It is a premier regional gathering for everyone in the dentistry and oral health field, continually adding value to the dental profession, creating social gatherings, promoting cultural exchange, business networking, all under one roof, hosted by Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
