Muscat June 9, 2013: Bank Sohar announced the launch and activation of their dedicated Facebook fan page and official Twitter account, taking customer engagement and networking for the bank into the digital era. Facebook and Twitter have been proved to be powerful social networking tools and Bank Sohar is pleased to have opened such an avenue for customers to connect with them, share experiences and help them enhance customers' banking experiences.
Ms. Munira Abdulnabi Macki, DGM - Human Resources & Corporate Support - Bank Sohar noted, "When we launched operations six years ago, we communicated with our customers through face-to-face conversations or over the phone, but with these new social media channels, we will be able to communicate instantly more information and share some of the great things going on at Bank Sohar. Bank Sohar aims to actively engage with customers and those interested in the products and services offered by the bank through these social networking services. They will also use this platform to provide customers with timely updates including information on the Bank's website, news releases, market information as well as details of the Bank's campaigns, financial products and services.
Fans who visit the bank's Facebook page will also discover an active discussion, links to banking news in Oman, glimpses of events that Bank Sohar partakes, videos and exclusive insights into the Bank. On the other hand, Twitter will serve as a way for the Bank to stay connected and communicate with customers through the exchange of quick, frequent posts.
