Dubai - Al Ghurair City, the first shopping mall in the Middle East, has announced a range of exciting activities in celebration of the UAE's national day. The celebrations will be held at the mall from the 30th of November to the 2nd of December.

The mall will be offer an insight into the rich culture and history of the UAE and decorations and activities will reflect the country's heritage. Al Ghurair City will be decorated with the U.A.E. National Flags inside and outside the Mall. The U.A.E. National Flag will be printed on danglers and entrance banners.  The rest of the mall will have a distinctive Arabian feel complete will other elaborate decorations

As visitors enter the mall they will be greeted by talented performance dancing an authentic Al Ayalah dance, Khaleeji dance and Harbeya dance. These graceful dances will take place both inside the mall and outside the mall and will certainly provide a spectacle for all. Performances will take place at 7:30pm, 8:30pm and 9:30pm on Sunday, December 2nd 2007

Amongst the other attractions will be a replica of an authentic tent used in the desert. Complete with carpets and pillows, the tent will give shoppers an idea of how life was in the desert. As part of the heritage workshop taking place in the tent, weavers will also be at hand to demonstrated the art of making a boat or a basket.

UAE national flags will be offered to shoppers as part of the celebrations. Flags will also be available at the customer service.

In addition, a kahwa server will also be offering kahwa and dates to shoppers, a tradition when welcoming guests into a home.

 An Arabic lady dressed in traditional Bedouin attire will also be offering unique yogurt based dishes.

The falcon, the UAE's symbol of force and courage will be at Al Ghurair City for the special occasion. From the parched hills of stony ridgelines and desert valleys of its hunting grounds, swooping in a wide arc, wings flayed to the winds with its beak proudly held forth, the Arabian falcon is a sight of wonder, captivating in its beauty as much as entrancing in its deadly potential. Visitors will have the opportunity to create special memories by taking home a picture of themselves with the majestic creature.

A variety of Oud and perfume samples will also be available for those wishing to experiment with truly exceptional scents.

Lastly an extensive photography exhibition will highlight the many developments that have taken place across the country.
