Crowne Plaza's new hotel in Doha is on track to be completed by the third quarter of this year, the property's owners have announced.
The 378-room The Crowne Plaza Doha - The Business Park is located in the city's commercial district and is part of a business park that will include banking facilities, offices and other services, according to Trans Orient Establishment.
It will offer 282 rooms and 96 two-bedroom residents' suites, said Trans Orient owner Shaikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Abdullah al Thani.
A 3,150 sq m event centre in a glass globe at the centre of the business park will have two ballrooms, an exhibition hall and two meeting rooms. It will also house a boardroom and six meeting rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, lobby lounge, Brazilian lounge bar and Churrascaria restaurant, fitness centre, and rooftop swimming pool with poolside dining and spa.
The hotel has also launched a number of new brand standards at the property, which will be rolled out at other Crowne Plazas worldwide, a representative said.
