VIENNA--Four candidates still remain for the job of Secretary General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, and the group will select one in December, Venezuelan Oil Minister Rafael Ramirez said Thursday.
OPEC agreed to maintain its 30 million barrels a day production ceiling, but the group's President will monitor the economic situation closely for its effect on oil demand and has the power to call an extraordinary meeting of the group if needed, he said.
