BEIRUT (Zawya Dow Jones)--Syria's Al Aqeelah Insurance Co. and the Syrian Kuwaiti Insurance Co. are preparing to meet requirements for listing their shares on the Damascus Securities Exchange, Damascus-based Al Baath daily reports Wednesday.
The bourse has recently granted four preliminary listing approvals to other two insurance companies and to Byblos Bank-Syria and to the Syrian Arab for Tourist Facilities Co., the paper reports citing Mohammed Jleilati, executive director of the Damascus Securities Exchange.
The companies listed on the Damascus bourse currently number 11, the daily reports.
