Muscat: Tenders for two key project packages linked to the development of the prestigious Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC) will be floated within the next six months. These packages are an auditorium building, which will be tendered in the fourth quarter of this year and a hotel, which is expected within the next few weeks, said Eng Wael Al Lawati, CEO of Omran.
"The package three is for building an auditorium, which is under final design and a tender will be floated in the fourth quarter of this year. Each hotel will be a separate package and a tender for building the first hotel will be tendered in the next few weeks," he added.
"A tender for developing the infrastructure was also awarded to a local company a couple of months ago." There are various packages under the main infrastructure package, he further said.
