Saudi stocks hovered in small gains and losses yesterday, almost a repeat of previous day's flat performance which became positive and the day ended in green.
The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) closed at 6,838.05 points yesterday, up 20.79 points at a growth rate of 0.30 percent over the close of the previous day.
The index traded in the range of 6,805.81 to 6,840.87.
Twelve out of the 15 sectors led by Insurance (+2.13 percent) ended with modest gains yesterday, while, Media and Publishing performed the worst, paring a nominal of 11.65 points or 0.44 percent for the day.
The top ten market cap companies closed the day in green. Etihad Etisalat Co. (Mobily) and Saudi Telecom performed well relatively, advancing 0.77 percent for the day.
Only, Samba Financial Group slipped 0.45 percent to close at SR45.
Out of 153 stocks traded yesterday, 92 were up and 36 were down while 25 remained unchanged.
Insurance stocks topped the gainers and losers charts at Tadawul. Prices of Al Sagr Insurance and Saudi United Insurance rallied to a maximum growth of 10 percent for the day.
On the other hand, Allianz Saudi Fransi continued to play worst for the fifth consecutive day, declining by 7.81 percent. It sank over 40 percent in five days.
Heavy interest was witnessed in Telecom sector with Mobile Telecommunications-Zain, which liquidated more than 46.5 million shares, representing nearly half of the sector volume and 16 percent of the overall market.
