Dubai: UAE-based district cooling company provider Tabreed has won three contracts to provide cooling services comprising a total of 7,600 tonnes of refrigeration (TR).
These include a 4,100 TR project for Hotel Jal Tower and a 2,300 TR mixed use development with Aerated Concrete Industries Company. Both these projects, in Dubai, will be supplied from the Shaikh Zayed plant.
The third win is a 1,200 TR Etihad Complex development in Abu Dhabi which will be supplied from the Al Raha Gardens cooling plant. All the contracts have been signed for a term of 20 years.
"It's not only major developments but small to medium ones as well that are beginning to use 'green technology'," said Dany Safi, CEO, Tabreed.
"As international concerns over global warming and climate change increase, there is a growing pressure on companies to reduce their carbon footprint as well as employ more environmentally-friendly technologies.
