MUSCAT -- Taageer Finance Company and BankMuscat signed an agreement recently at the bank's headquarters to enable Taageer customers to avail EMI Direct Debit facility instead of the existing mode of payment through post-dated cheques.
As part of Taageer's continuous commitment towards improving service standards, a Customer Service Department was established this year on the occasion of the 10th year of supreme financial services to society.
The agreement with BankMuscat offers additional payment options to Taageer customers who bank with BankMuscat, who can repay the monthly installments through Direct Debit from BankMuscat's current or savings account.
Mohammed Abdullah al Kharusi, Taageer's Acting Chief Executive Officer, said: "In today's competitive financial marketplace, focusing on the customer at every stage is crucial for ongoing success." He also added that BankMuscat was the obvious choice in joining hands for Direct Debit due to its competence and expertise in handling such facilities. Mohammed Abdullah al Kharusi also said that this facility will be a great benefit to customers to move from writing cheques to the more convenient direct debit facility, especially in micro-financing. "BankMuscat is keen to support Taageer in many such customer support initiatives," he added.
Suleiman al Harthy, Group Deputy General Manager, Consumer Banking, BankMuscat, said: "BankMuscat is at the forefront in providing value-added services to ensure customers get easy access to their banking needs at all times. BankMuscat is delighted to extend support to Taageer, which is one of the fast-growing finance companies in Oman, and remains committed to providing innovative banking solutions for meeting the emerging customer requirements."
The Direct Debit facility is expected to become operational during the Holy Month of Ramadhan.
