Syria is the latest country where Batelco mobile customers can enjoy the benefits of a roaming service after the company announced the commercial launch of a two-way Prepaid Roaming Service on a bilateral basis with Syrian firm Syriatel.
The new service - which went live on August 3 - is welcome news for Batelco's SimSim and SimSim Shabab customers who can now make and receive calls while roaming in Syria.
"We are very pleased to provide our customers with this latest addition to our prepaid roaming services," said Batelco Corporate Affairs General Manager Ahmed Al Janahi.
He added: "Batelco now has full Commercial Prepaid Roaming Agreements with nine operators in eight countries and aspires to continue to add to that list."
