Emirates and wasl groups extend agreement
Dubai Emirates Group and wasl Asset Management Group will be extending their operation and management agreement with Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide for the Le Méridien Al Aqah Beach Resort owned by the former.
Wasl Hospitality has also renewed operational agreements with its wholly-owned properties Le Meridien Dubai, Le Meridien Mina Seyahi, Le Meridien Fairway and the Westin Dubai until 2025.
The agreement was signed by Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chief Executive of Emirates airline and Group; Hesham Abdullah Al Qassim, CEO of wasl Asset Management Group; and Frits Van Paasschen, president and CEO of Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide.
Shaikh Ahmad said: “The tourism industry has played a key role in positioning Dubai and the UAE on the global map. This partnership with Starwood Hotels and Resorts brings a wealth of global experience to the hotels in this region.
