A key player in the telecommunications sector, operating since 1981 on the Tunisian market and abroad and in charge of construction, operation and maintenance of wireless telecommunication networks, the Tunisian Telecommunications Company (SOTETEL) began 2010 with booming indicators.
During the first three months of 2010, SOTETEL achieved a turnover of approximately 8, 2 million dinars against 7, 2 million dinars during the same period in 2009, accounting for13% of net growth .
According to company officials, this turnover will grow by 18% to reach 37 million dinars in 2010.
Integrated in Tunis Stock Exchange in June 1998, the annual performance of the SOTETEL title increased by 6%, to reach 35, 7 million dinars of the capitalization market, until December 31, 2009, and a trade volume of 37, 4 million dinars in value, which represents about 2, 64 million of traded shares.
In 2000 The Tunisian Company won the Geneva " International Merit of Telecommunication Development" and the "National Presidential Award for social progress" in 2001.
