The Ministry of Social Affairs agency for social insurance has allocated SR 1.08 billion this year for 783,016 beneficiaries.
Mohammad Al-Awadh, the ministry's spokesman, said the amount has been deposited in the beneficiaries' accounts.
He added because all the social insurance's allocations are from Zakat (charity), the agency is studying and analyzing the beneficiaries' data monthly.
He also said the agency denied the applications of 5,713 cases because they had passed away, were newly married, their income had increased, there was an increase in the number of workers under their kafalah or because of the absence of divorce papers. He added 450 cases did not meet its conditions.
Al-Awadh emphasized the leadership's keenness to provide the best services for the beneficiaries of social insurance and that the minister is also keen to identify all those who are in real need.
He added that 13,193 cases of orphans, disabled, widows and others who couldn't make it to the 97 offices have been added to the list of beneficiaries this month.
