JEDDAH: The Eid Al-Adha holidays will start from Tuesday Dul Hijjah 5 (Nov. 1) and continue for 11 days to end on Friday Dul Hijjah 15 (Nov. 11).
Government employees, students and teachers will resume work on Saturday Dul Hijjah 16 (Nov. 12).
The Grand Standing on Arafat will this year likely fall on Saturday Dul Hijjah 9 (Nov. 5) (depending on the sighting of the crescent) and the Eid Al-Adha will be the next day.
The current 1432H year will end on Friday Dul Hijjah 29 according to Umm Al-Qura calendar.
The new Hijra year of 1433, will start on Saturday, the first of Muharram which corresponds to Nov. 26. The school mid-year holidays will start from Rabie-ul Thani 28, while the summer vacation will be from Rajab 16 and will continue for 85 days.
