DOHA: The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning has entered into a contract worth QR12.9m with a private company for maintenance of interior roads in Doha and its outskirts.
The project focused 17 locations including Duhail, Medinat Khalifa (South and North), Frij Klaib, |Hamad Medical Corporation, Dafna, Al Markhiya and Lusail. The work started in June is scheduled to be completed in 24 months.
Meanwhile, the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has started work on developing roads around the Barwa City, constructed along the long stretch of road leading to the Industrial Area.
Ashghal plans to complete the project by December, when the residential units in Barwa City would be ready for occupation.
