Doha - J Ray McDermott, S A (J Ray) announced that it has been awarded a contract by Maersk Oil Qatar to engineer, procure, construct, and install two wellhead decks for the Block 5 Field Development Plan 2005 project.
The two decks have a combined weight in excess of 4,800MT and will be designed at J Ray's Houston engineering office as well as at its regional headquarters in Jebel Ali, Dubai, where the structures will be fabricated in 2007 and installed by J Ray's marine crews offshore Qatar in 2008.

"We are pleased to be associated with this key project for Qatar's expanding oil and gas market."
