Fourteen projects related to process optimization and quality improvement, which are being implemented by Lavan Oil Refining Company, under the Mehr-e Mandegar Plan, are expected to go on stream by August.

Announcing this, managing director of the company, Mohammad Ali Dadavar, said once operational, the projects will help the refinery produce 1 million liters of jet fuel per day, IRNA reported.

He noted that with the launch of these projects, the oil refining capacity of the refinery will increase from 30,000 barrels per day to 60,000 barrels per day.

Dadavar also said that producing oil derivatives based on the Euro-4 standards, improving the company's performance, optimizing energy consumption, preparing conditions for generating jobs, improving the know-how of personnel and paving the way for training expert manpower are among initiatives lined up by the company.

"Once the projects go on stream, gasoline production of Lavan Refinery will increase from 1.08 million liters per day to 2.8 million liters, diesel from 1.7 million liters per day to 4 million liters and liquefied gas from 30 tons per day to 100 tons," he said.

Dadavar said 75 percent of the refinery's products will be consumed domestically.

About 4 trillion rials plus €80 million have been invested in the projects executed by domestic experts.
